Business Travel Awards Europe 2025 – the winners!
British Airways has opened new lounges in Miami and Dubai, debuting its next-generation design created with architecture and design firm Gensler. Miami’s 13,000-sq-ft lounge features a mirrored “London Calling” mural, five zones, and a bar serving local dishes and signature drinks. Dubai’s 5,800-sq-ft lounge showcases Middle Eastern design with marble, arches and mirrored details, plus premium beverages and Arabic-inspired dining.

UK domestic airline Eastern Airways has announced suspended operations, with all of their flights being cancelled. The airline flew to destinations including Aberdeen, Humberside, Gatwick, Newquay Teeside International and Wick John O’Groats.
On 9th October, the airline’s first Airbus A350 arrived in Zurich, establishing the city as its operational base. The aircraft delivers approximately 25% greater fuel efficiency than previous generations, resulting in lower carbon emissions. The airline intends to expand its A350 fleet to 10 aircraft by 2031.

Travellers can now check in for their easyJet flights from 30 days up to 2 hours before departure. To store boarding passes securely and access them easily, the airline recommends using the easyJet mobile app.
If any changes are made to a booking – such as adding luggage or amending flight details – passengers will need to complete the check-in process again.
On certain routes, easyJet is required to provide passenger information to local authorities. This Advance Passenger Information (API) will be requested prior to check-in.
